FoLJ Needs Your Support at Public Hearing Re: Development-Leon County Commission.

This is a request for your support in a public meeting regarding the Proposed Development Agreement to acquire property in furtherance of the Fords Arm South Water Quality Improvement Projects to be held as part of the Leon County Commission meeting, in the Commission Room on the top floor of the County Courthouse, at 6 PM this coming Tuesday evening, May 9, 2017. A copy of this proposed agreement (Agenda Item #21) is attached. This follows up on Agenda Item #13 from the Commission’s April meeting and regards subjects that we discussed at some length at our April meeting of the Friends of Lake Jackson.

We need to turn out as many Friends of Lake Jackson members as we can to show solidarity. The county commission allows 3 minutes for public comments. Several of the Board members have discussed and planned their comments. Do feel free to speak your mind as a citizen of the county. However, if you wish to speak as a representative of the Friends of Lake Jackson I would like you to keep in mind our positions and not deviate from them unless you have given me a chance to discuss things with you first. If you do not wish to speak, your presence is still important.
